Dr Amelia Ryan, gynaecologist and advanced laparoscopic surgeon at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Waitemata and Advanced Gynaecology Auckland, presented this session at the 2026 Goodfellow Symposium on discussing problematic menstrual periods in the lead up to menopause and the practical management of abnormal perimenopausal bleeding from simple treatments and hormonal options through to the role of hysterectomy.
