Educational Series: Non-antibiotic interventions for the prevention of recurrent UTIs

This review summarises the evidence supporting non-antibiotic interventions for the prevention and management of uncomplicated recurrent UTIs. The recent ALTAR trial demonstrating that methenamine hippurate is non-inferior to antibiotic prophylaxis in women with recurrent UTIs is also discussed. This review has been created with an unconditional educational grant from Radiant Health.
