Associate Professor Simone Strasser

Associate Professor Simone Strasser is a Senior Staff Specialist in the AW Morrow Gastroenterology and Liver Centre, and the Australian National Liver Transplant Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney. She has a major clinical and research interest in a broad spectrum of liver diseases including viral hepatitis, advanced liver disease, liver cancer and liver transplantation. She is Director of Hepatology Clinical Trials at RPAH and is site principal investigator on multiple clinical trials of new therapies for hepatitis C and B, NAFLD and liver cancer. She is a regular speaker in national and local educational programmes for specialists, general practitioners, and other health care workers in many aspects of liver disease. She has received speaker fees and serves on advisory boards for Abbvie, Gilead, MSD, Bristol Myers Squibb, Janssen, Roche and Norgine. Dr Steven Bollipo

Dr Steven Bollipo

Dr Steven Bollipo is the Director of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy at John Hunter Hospital Newcastle. He is also the Deputy Chair of the College Policy and Advocacy Council of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has a wide range of interests in Gastroenterology and Hepatology including his passion for Outreach Liver Clinics in rural areas and research in all aspects of Hepatocellular Carcinoma. He is currently part of two major research grants in liver cancer research. He is active on social media and one of the most popular gastroenterologists on Twitter as @stevenbollipo discussing a wide variety of topics from colonoscopy technique, endoscopic non-technical skills (Scopemanship) to the MAFLD vs NAFLD nomenclature debate. .. read more »
